I'm Leo Lam

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics and a McDonnell International Academy Scholar at Washington University in St. Louis. I am on the job market in 2023-2024.

My research applies innovation and growth theory to study international technology transfers and intellectual property rights (IPR) protections.

Primary research fields: Macroeconomics, International Economics, Innovation, and Institutions.

My work is funded by the National Science Foundation: Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant and the Centre of Economic Policy Research: Structural Transformation and Economic Growth program.
